The Bespoke Process…
When commission a SALIMA.ALI bespoke garment, you discuss your idea with creative director Salima Ali, who will work towards creating a unique statement piece suitable for your event. We advise clients to allow a minimum of 4-8 weeks (subject to appointment availability and style choice) and 3-6 months for bridal in order ensure the best experience.

An initial appointment to discuss in detail the creation of your desired design, the fabric, colour, style and any other expectations for your special occasion. Have a look at our Bespoke Gallery to view the garments we have designed and produced for our clients. We take your full measurements and consider any inspirational images you may have to finalise the design sketch. Hopefully, at this point, you are happy that we have captured your vision, and production in the atelier commences. At this appointment you will try on the 1st toile of your chosen design, we confirm fit, discuss fabric and exact detailing.Your vision has started to come to life. Salima and her team have first-hand experience in the construction of a well-fitted garment and they work to meet the expectations of each client.

Full production in the atelier has commenced. Post your first fitting we may schedule 2-6 fittings to confirm progress. At these appointments we will continue to fit your garment and make any changes or alterations needed at this stage.

This is the day you try on the final garment in the real fabric, with little to no finishes to add, such as length alterations or minor fit adjustments. We recommend bringing your chosen shoes and accessories to see the full vision. Finally, on completion of your bespoke garment and payment, we book a delivery date for your garment to be either picked up or packaged and sent to you. You are now equipped to make a statement at your special event.
